Snacks from Venezuela
Venezuelan snacking is a tequeño, a cheese stick in dough, fried, eaten at every party. Golfeados, sticky cinnamon-cheese rolls with papelón. Cachapas with cheese as a sweet-corn snack. Pepito sandwiches. Quesillo. This is a fried cheese stick and a panela roll, not a Colombian pandebono with a different flag.

Tequeños are not mozzarella sticks. The cheese is queso blanco, the dough is specific, the party tray is mandatory. Golfeados look like cinnamon rolls and then hit you with cheese and cane sugar. Cachapas are corn and cheese, a griddle snack.
Pepitos are late. Pack papelón. Fried cheese is hot.
