Snacks from Namibia
Namibian snacking is biltong from a butcher counter, droëwors, and kapana, street-grilled meat with chili from Katutura braziers. Magwinya fat cakes. Apfelstrudel in Swakopmund bakeries is a German leftover that people still eat. Rusks for the long drive. There is no Windhoek chocolate maison. The snack is dried meat, fry oil, and a slice of strudel if you are on the coast.

- What travelers buy
- biltong, droëwors, rusks, magwinya eaten hot
Kapana is the Namibian tell: beef on a township grill, chili, a paper sheet, eaten standing. Biltong and droëwors fill the rest of the map, a southern African grocery that still tastes like this butcher, not a generic jerky. Magwinya is the morning oil.
Coastal bakeries sell apfelstrudel because German colonial baking stayed in the case. Pack dried meat. Fat cakes are hot.
