Mozambican snacking is a paozinho stuffed with peri-peri chicken or beans, and bolinhos de maputo, fried snacks from the padaria. Pudim, coconut sweets, and matapa is a meal. Prego rolls. Cashews from the north are eaten roasted. Portuguese egg tarts still sit in Maputo bakeries. The street is bread, chile, and coconut, with a cashew in the pocket.
