Snacks from Maldives
Maldivian snacking is masroshi, tuna-and-coconut stuffed dumplings, and bondibai, sweet coconut rice for special days. Hedhikaa is the category: bajiya, gulha, keemia, fried at dusk with black tea. Garudhiya is a meal. The atoll pantry is tuna, coconut, and chili, not a resort chocolate turndown. Tourist islands sell imported sweets; Male' cafes still put hedhikaa on a plate at 5 p.m.

Hedhikaa hour in Male’ is tea and a plate of fried tuna dumplings. Masroshi and gulha are not Indian snacks with a flag; the filling is Maldivian tuna and coconut. Bondibai is sweeter, coconut rice for events. Resorts will offer international dessert; the local clock is still 5 p.m. fried fish pastry.
Pack coconut products. Hedhikaa is hot. Do not write only ‘tropical fruit’; the tuna dumpling is the Maldivian snack object.
